Terms of Service

Effective 2 October 2026 · Operated by LoreUp

This English text is provided for convenience. The Korean version is the binding original, and it prevails in the event of any discrepancy.

1. Purpose

These terms set out the conditions for using LoreUp(the "Service") and the rights and obligations between the operator and users. The Service is a learning-oriented web and app service offering daily trivia quests and an RPG growth loop.

2. Accounts

You can sign up and sign in with an email and password, or with a Google or Apple account. You must use an account that belongs to you, and keeping it secure is your responsibility.

The character name and fields you choose during onboarding, along with your learning progress, are tied to your account.

In the app you can also use "Start on this device" without signing up (a "device account"). A device account signs in only with a value stored on that device, so if you delete the app or switch devices without linking Google, Apple or email on the Account screen, the operator cannot recover that account for you. Unused tickets and other benefits tied to the account then become unusable as well; store subscriptions and the lifetime plan can be re-applied to a new account with Restore purchases.

3. What the Service provides

  • Today's quest, review (monsters), XP, levels, stats and the exploration map
  • The same service through a web browser and through the WebView-based mobile app
  • Usage limits and reward features such as exploration tickets and paid products (in-app purchases), including ad rewards where rewarded ads are offered
  • Addition, change or discontinuation of questions and features as operations require

4. Usage limits · tickets · ads (where applicable)

The number of explorations you can start each day is limited, roughly as follows.

  • Users without a subscription: after the free daily starts (currently 2), further starts use exploration tickets. In builds where rewarded ads are enabled, watching an ad may also grant a start. Subscribers (Explorer, Pathfinder) and Lifetime (Atlas) users are subject to the daily limit of their plan.
  • Exploration tickets: a consumable balance that does not reset daily. They can be earned through invites and progress rewards, or purchased.
  • Rewarded ads: where the feature is enabled, watching a rewarded ad from an ad network such as Google AdMob through to the end in the mobile app may grant an exploration start (an ad reward). The number of rewarded views per day may be capped (currently 5). No reward may be granted if the ad is skipped, interrupted or fails to load. As a matter of principle, no forced interstitial ads are shown during play.
  • Review (monster) sessions are available separately from the daily exploration limit.

5. Paid products · in-app purchases

Paid purchases (in-app purchases) are made through the App Store or Google Play in the LoreUp mobile app. Actual payment may not be available through a web browser alone.

  • Exploration ticket packs: consumable products. Tickets are credited to your account immediately on purchase and held as a balance until used.
  • Subscriptions (Explorer · Pathfinder): plans that raise your daily exploration limit for their term (where rewarded ads are enabled, starts within the limit require no ads). Auto-renewal and cancellation follow each store's subscription settings. After reinstalling or switching devices, use Restore purchases in the ticket shop to reapply your benefits.
  • Lifetime unlimited (Atlas Lifetime): a non-renewing, non-consumable product tied to your account. "Unlimited" means the cap on daily exploration starts is lifted (including the ad cap where rewarded ads are enabled). You still cannot start when no questions are available. Restore purchases reapplies purchases made with the same store account.

Prices and product line-ups follow what the store and the Service display, and may change for operational reasons. Payment processing, receipts and tax calculation follow Apple's and Google's policies.

6. Refunds

  • Ticket packs · subscriptions: the standard refund and cancellation policies of the App Store and Google Play apply. When a store approves a refund, the operator may reclaim the tickets or subscription benefits granted for that purchase.
  • Lifetime unlimited: where a store issues a forced refund, the store's decision prevails. Separately, the operator's support refund guidance may be based on the number of daily explorations (`DAILY`) started from that account after purchase (for example 100% at 0, 70% at 1–20, 40% at 21–60, none at 61 or more — the exact rates follow the notice published by the Service). On a partial refund, lifetime access is reclaimed and restoration may be blocked.
  • Ad rewards and tickets granted for free are not paid purchases and are therefore not eligible for a cash refund.

7. Your obligations

  • Do not use the Service for improper purposes (automated abuse; abuse of payments, ads or referrals; interference with the system, and the like)
  • Do not infringe the rights of other users or of the operator
  • Comply with applicable law and store policies

8. Intellectual property

Rights in the Service's UI, copy, seed questions and explanations, brand and other content belong to the operator or the respective rights holders. You may use them only for personal study.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is". No warranty is given as to learning outcomes, the completeness of questions, uninterrupted availability, ad delivery or revenue, or store payment failures. Liability for damage arising from causes outside reasonable control — including natural disasters, communication failures, and outages of external authentication (Google), ad networks (AdMob), app stores or hosting — is limited to the extent permitted by law.

10. Account deletion · ending use

You can delete your account at any time from the account deletion page. Unused tickets and paid benefits may be lost on deletion, and cancelling a store subscription is something you must handle separately. The operator may restrict use or delete an account for breach of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

Changes to these terms are announced within the Service by publishing them on this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change is treated as agreement to the changed terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
